Assistant/Storyteller Needed for Summer Science Camp
If so, you may be right for the role of Rock-it Science assistant at our summer camp in Santa Clara. At Rock-it Science, we use crazy stories in combination with exciting hands-on experiments to make kids enthusiastic about learning science. As a camp assistant, your main duties will be to assist the instructor, pass out supplies, help with prep and cleanup, etc. But as you become familiar with the lessons, you’ll also have an opportunity to tell some of the stories and present experiments. In addition, an outstanding summer assistant would receive first consideration when an opening occurs for a year-round regular instructor. This is an 8-week gig (June 21 – August 13), 5 days per week Mon-Fri, 8 hrs per day, $10 per hour. We are hoping that this position will serve as a training ground for new year-round instructors (at a higher pay rate.) Audition (Required): Advance reservation required (email only, no phone calls).
