Winter 2023 In Person Classes

Our in person Fall classes will be held outside in Cupertino. Our current location includes shaded tables for sit down experiments, grassy areas, and a parking lot that can be blocked off for larger experiments.

We are actively searching for a new permanent facility where we can hold future classes! If you know of a space or would like to assist in our search please contact our director Mary Lyn Azar at director@rockitscience.com.

• Tuition: $245 ($275 Charter Schools) per 10 week session
• All New Experiments Each Session!
• Online classes also available if that option works better for you.

Winter Experiment List

• Bolos and Trebuchets – Use physics and engineering to launch objects across the parking lot!
• Acids and Bases – Explore acids, bases, and indicators in test tubes that bubble and change color!
• 3-D Illusions – Trick your eyes multiple ways into seeing 3-D objects that don’t exist!
• Popping Popcorn – How does popcorn pop and what are the keys to the perfect bag?
• Burglar Alarms – Build an electric circuit to create a box that protects your stuff!
• Windmills – Design a windmill to catch the wind. How fast can you make it spin?
• Swinging Pendulums – Explore pendulums and what effects how they swing!
• Density Bottles – Stack liquids and float items in the middle of a bottle!
• Casting – How do you preserve footprints? Create a plaster cast for your arm?
• Creating a Compass – Create your own compass and use it to plot a course!
