Winter Experiment List

  • Sound Effects – Transform yourself into a one-person sound machine, and make silly sounds to trick your friends!
  • Fractals – Explore cool patterns found in nature, and create a fractal model of your own!
  • pH Potions – Experiment with potions that change color like magic!
  • Animal Ears – Explore how different animals hear with ears of all shapes and sizes!
  • Electromagnetic Motor – Create your own motor with wire and a battery!
  • Puff Shooters – How far can you shoot a marshmallow using only a simple tube and your own breath?
  • 3-D Illusions – Trick your eyes into seeing things differently!
  • Straw Towers – Design and build the tallest, strongest tower!
  • Burglar Alarms – Rig up a Rube Goldberg-style circuit to catch a burglar!
  • Chromatography – What happens when colors run away?
